Dear Lela and family... It is with fondness that I remember your sweet Richard!... We came across each other after all these years in the Pickwick Phatmacy about two years ago.... We had the nicest visit and he caught me up with news of all the children..... My, how proud you all must be!!!!!..... What a great success they have all become!!!.....You know I remember those precious three from my Augusta Circle days!.... What a joy to teach.... I never doubted that they would be successful !...... Please give my love to all of them ...... I wish could have seen them.....This covid has turned our world upside down!...... Please accept my deepest sympathy.... He was one of the good ones 😊😇

Peace to all of Mr. McKnight’s family. I shared many lunches (in the teachers’ lounge) with Mr. McKnight over my 22 years at Greenville High School. He had a sweet soul, he cared deeply for his students, and he loved his wife and family...spoke of them often and just beamed with love for them. He was especially proud of his three children - oh how he loved them!
I praise God that I will sit at His banquet table one day and share another meal with Mr. McKnight.
