Obituary

Ms. Melza Poole 82, transitioned from this life on March 30, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Ervin Walter and Lillian Mobley Poole.

She was a member of New Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she sang in the Sanctuary Choir, served on the Pastor’s Aid, and was a member of the Culinary Team. She was a graduate of Chris Logan Beauty College in 1989. She was a childcare provider and retired from this profession. She loved reading and studying the bible. She enjoyed traveling and cherished spending time with her family.

She was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her seven brothers and five sisters.

Melza leaves to cherish many fond memories, three sons, William (Karen) Poole of Syracuse, NY, Thomas (Rebecca) Poole of Greenville, SC, and Allen (Yolanda) Vernon of Moseley, VA; four daughters, Delk Goodine of Greenville, SC, Marian (James) McCray of Easley, SC, Doris Vernon of Henrico, VA, and Jacqueline Vernon of Greenville, SC; a very beloved family friend, Sammy (Bertha) Edwards of Greenville, SC; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grand-children, one great-great-grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The ms.poole i got an opportunity to know was a Beautiful soul inside and out she was like a mother figure to many that came to know her very spiritual/wise until the day she gain her angel wings . My thoughts and prayers are with the family

Thank God for a beautiful woman inside and out she was a wonderful woman I loved her with all of my heart she taught me so many things because she was a mother to me too she helped me raise my daughter and her granddaughter and that means the world to me she is a good woman never never be forgotten because she would always live in my heart she was a very funny woman make you laugh make you cry but teaching you all at the same time I thank God for allowing me to know her I say goodbye but you still live in each and every one of us .
