On behalf of the Thornton Family, I would like to express my deepest sympathies in the loss of Mrs. Kirkland. I just found out. She and my mom Mrs. Katherine J. Thornton were good friends. We were at her house alot growing up as they always had long talks. Gail and I went to St. Anthony's School together. Dr. Kirkland was also my mom's physician. We lost touch but great childhood memories. I will remember her gracious way and that smile. Mrs. Kirkland lives on in your heart and beautiful memories.
Sincerely,
The Thornton Family,
Sonny Thornton, Lavell, Darot, and Demiereles

I will always remember Mrs. Kirkland's gracefulness when I visit her home. she treated me like I was apart of the family, always talking about her wonderful grandchildren and their success. She always check on me at the office on 402 Ansel street, Dr. Kirkland's office before he retired, to see if everything was working and most of all, if I was doing ok with the business of being in their building. I pray for bearing power for her wonderful family. My last sweet memory of her was" she was standing in the door waving me goodbye after my last visit to her beautiful home. I never though it would be my last goodbye from her. I will always remember the last wave and smile from her. Goodbye Mrs. Kirkland until we meet again. "Hope to see you in the morning" Dr. Rosa Vera & Juan Vera
