"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!" Mrs. Kelley, as we members of the Repertory Theatre called her, was instrumental in the work and success of not only The Phillis Wheatley Association but also the Phillis Wheatley Dwight Woods Repertory Theatre for Youth. I am truly thankful for having known Mrs. Kelley and for her service to not only so many young people, but to the community as a whole. Take your rest! To the family,(Nicole and Shana, we love you) our prayers are with you in this time of mourning and celebration of her life. On behalf of the Staff and Board of Directors of the Phillis Wheatley Community Center, we thank you for your years of impact and service to the community!

To the Kelley Family,
Sometimes the pain of separation from those we care about can be difficult. I'm reminded of the words written in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

Freddie will be missed greatly, but just remember At death, God's people don't say "goodbye," but "we'll see you later."
